James F. Donohue, M.D., is Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Presently, he is the Division Chief of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine and previously served as Vice Chairman of Clinical Services, Department of Medicine and Clinical Director of the Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Division.
Dr. Donohue is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a member of the American Thoracic Society, and the European Respiratory Society. He also donates time as an officer for many university and community committees. Dr. Donohue is the recipient of numerous research grants and serves as an invited lecturer at several national and international symposia. He is a reviewer and writer for several journals including the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Medicine, New England Journal of Medicine, Archives of Internal Medicine, the Southern Medical Journal, Chest, and the Journal of Respiratory Disease. In addition, Dr. Donohue served as a writer and reviewer for the Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program in the subspecialty of Pulmonary and Critical Medicine for the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.
His teaching and research interests include sarcoidosis, interstitial lung diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, and asthma.

Dennis Williams is Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics at the University of North Carolina (UNC) and Clinical Specialist in Pulmonary Medicine at UNC Hospitals. He received his B.S. in pharmacy and Pharm.D. degrees from the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Williams maintains a practice with adult pulmonary medicine and is involved in the management of lung diseases for hospitalized and ambulatory patients. He represents the American Pharmacists Association on the National Asthma Education and Prevention Coordinating Committee of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and currently serves on the board of directors of the National Asthma Educator Certification Examination Board.
Dr. Williams has published research papers and book chapters in the area of pulmonary diseases and is a frequent speaker at national professional programs. He is active in professional organizations, currently serving as Past-President for the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.
